Call for Cases

 

Best Case of AICT Young Interventionalist Award: Call for cases

     The 4th AICT 2008 invites case submissions for the Best
Case from Young Interventionalists. This is a presentation
showcasing the best cases submitted by delegates of less
than 40 years of age. The cases may include coronary
intervention, non-coronary cardiac intervention,
peripheral intervention, congenital and valvular
interventions. Please send in the most challenging or
complex cases with exceptional teaching values or with
complications. The best 6 cases will be selected for oral
presentation. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to
the top 3 cases comprised as below:

1st Prize: USD$1’000, Certificate and Trophy,
2nd Prize: USD$600, Certificate and Trophy,
3rd Prize: USD$400, Certificate and Trophy.

Rules for Submission

1. The first author of the paper must be less than 40 years
of age (born after June 25, 1968). Other co-authors may
be listed, but the oral presentation must be given by the
first author.

2. An official document to prove the presenting author’s
current age must be presented at the congress.

3. All cases are strongly encouraged to be submitted
through the ONLINE CASE SUBMISSION SYSTEM
using the 4th AICT Best Case Submission Form available
for download at www.AICT2008.org.

4. The presenting author must register for the 4th AICT
Congress. For the three winners, the registration fee will
be reimbursed during the congress.

5. Presenting author must be the primary or secondary
physician performing the case.

6. All accepted cases will be included in the AICT 2008
course materials. Cases may be edited for publication.
Submission of cases therefore constitutes the authors’
consent for publication of the cases.

7. There is no limit to the number of cases a person may
submit.

Review, Acceptance & Notification

1. An email acknowledgement will be sent within 7
working days upon receipt of your case submission. If
you do not receive the acknowledgement, please contact
the Congress Secretariat

 

2. The 6 best cases will be selected for oral presentation

3. The best case selection process for 4th AICT is
organized under the auspices of the scientific committee

4. Evaluation will be based on quality, originality, clarity
and relevance for the audience, as well as the learning
experience of the material.

5. The scientific committee reserves the right to make the
final decision on case acceptance/rejection and
presentation schedule.

6. Presenting authors will receive email notification of
case acceptance/rejection after May 19, 2008. The
notification will include information on the oral
presentation date and time of the presentation.

Instructions for Case Submission

1. The case must be written in English and submitted in
ppt format. Other formats will not be accepted.

2. The type of movie files accepted are MPEG and AVI.

3. The title of paper should be concise.

4. List all authors’ name without degrees or titles. The
presenting author must be first author. Please also indicate the institution, city and country of the authors’affiliation.

5. The case presentation should cover the case history,
procedural data, pertinent cine movies, results, key
learning experience and conclusion, not to exceed 12
slides.

Closing date for case submission is May 15, 2008.
