4th AICT invites you to submit abstracts of original
investigation for poster presentation. Abstracts should
include original research (clinical studies, basic science
investigations and animal studies) in the field of
cardiovascular interventions. The content may include
portions of prior abstracts and/or manuscripts
submitted or presented elsewhere.
Abstract categories will be:
1. Acute coronary syndrome/acute myocardial
infarction
2. Devices for PCI
3. Drug eluting stents
4. Emerging devices & innovative therapies
5. Complex coronary interventions
6. IVUS, physiologic lesion assessment
7. Carotid stenting
8. Peripheral interventions
9. Non-coronary cardiac interventions
10. Stem cell therapy, angiomyogenesis
11. Nursing & technologist topic
Rules for Submitting Abstracts
1. All abstracts are strongly encouraged to be submitted
through the ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
SYSTEM using the 4th AICT Abstract Submission
Form available for download at www.AICT2008.org.
2. The presenting author must register for the 4th AICT
Congress.
3. Accepted abstracts will be selected for poster
presentation
4. All accepted abstracts will be included in the AICT
2008 course materials. Submission of abstract therefore
constitutes the authors’ consent for publication.
5. There is no limit to the number of abstracts a person
may submit.

Review, Acceptance & Notification
1. An email acknowledgement will be sent within 7
working days upon receipt of your case submission. If
you do not receive the acknowledgement, please
contact the Congress Secretariat
2. The abstract selection process for 4th AICT is
organized under the auspices of the scientific committee
3. Evaluation for acceptance will be based on quality, originality, clarity and relevance for the audience
4. The scientific committee reserves the right to make
the final decision on abstract acceptance/rejection and presentation schedule.
5. Presenting authors will receive email notification of
abstract acceptance/rejection after May 19, 2008. The
notification will include information on the poster
presentation date and time of the presentation.
Instructions for Writing Abstract(s)
1. The abstract must be written in English, font size not
smaller than 12-point, single-spaced, and saved as theMS-Word file format. Other formats will not be
accepted.
2. Define each abbreviation the first time it is used in
the text by placing in parentheses.
3. The title of paper should be concise.
4. Authors: all authors’ name without degrees or titles
(the name of the presenting author should be
underlined). Please also indicate the institution, city
and country of the authors’affiliation.
5. The body of the text should cover the introduction/
background, methods, results and conclusions, not to
exceed 300 words.
 Closing date for abstract submission is May 15, 2008.
